It is a small weather monitoring utility that sit comfortably in your Windows Taskbar Icon tray that tells you the weather condition and temperature of your chosen geographical area. Very useful for those office users who just want to know what happening outside!

It extracts the weather information from Yahoo! Weather.

No installation is needed. Just download and saves the executable file into your desktop or any other directories of your choice.

Earth Alerts
Information on weather, earthquake, and volcano related events

Earth Alerts is a Windows-based application that allows you to monitor in near real-time a variety of natural hazard events that are occurring anywhere around the world. Alert notifications, reports, and imagery provide the user with a convenient way to view natural phenomenon as they occur, whether close to home or some far-flung corner of the globe!

Earth Alerts uses a variety of online resources provided by organizations such as the National Weather Service, U.S. Geological Survey and Smithsonian Institution (just to name a few), to identify what sort of activities "Mother Earth" is currently dishing out on the planet.

To use Earth Alerts, you simply select the specific natural hazards -- earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, tropical cyclones, wildland fires, landslides, severe weather, local weather, etc. -- and the locations that interest you. The application will then automatically retrieve the latest information from various live data feeds available on the Internet and present it to you in a convenient arrangement of reports, maps and images.

Earth Alerts has been available to the general public since 2005. In that time it has undergone a number of significant enhancements. As a hobby, a one man production and a labor of love, conceiving the ideas and creating Earth Alerts has been a (time consuming) pet project over the past few years.

Webmizzle

Webmizzle is a simple tool, that allows you to monitor the current weather conditions worldwide.

It uses data that are available to the public (you can see the same images on countless www pages with any web browser). I wrote this program because I felt sick when I had to launch Internet Explorer and then browse through the ads and other crap just to see a satellite image or current temperature. And this is what Webmizzle offers: painless access to current satellite images, weather conditions and forecasts charts..

MyWxThing LT

MyWxThing LT (My Weather Thing Lite) provides current weather for any one of over 6,000 worldwide weather stations and a next day local forecast for US locations.

Local weather includes a graphical display of the temperature, dew point, sky conditions, weather, pressure, wind, and visibility. The model-derived forecast includes next-day high and low temperature for US stations.

MyWxThing LT functions with little user interaction and low system overhead, and runs from the System Tray, with the icon showing the current temperature.

Setup is as easy as clicking on a map and selecting the location of interest. The display in MyWxThing is customizable, such as to display temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

This program is freeware and does not contain spyware, adware, trojans, or annoying pop-ups found in many other “free” programs. It is called 'lite' because of its ease of use and very low system overhead.

Firefox Extension

Forecastfox is an extension that brings international weather from AccuWeather.com® to your Firefox web browser. You can use your US zip code or you can easily find your town or city by using the built in search tool. It is unobtrusive and lightweight, yet can be customized to display nearly as much data as the leading desktop weather programs! If you can't find what you are looking for, click the weather icons displayed to open the AccuWeather.com® forecast for your location. A slider, similar to when popup notification for when all downloads complete, pops up from the bottom right corner of your screen when the current conditions are updated.

You can even set what appears in it or disable it!
Forecastfox lets you customize everything, from the number of days to be forecasted, to the content of the tooltips. You can decide whether to see the labels, and you can decide what toolbar to place Forecastfox in.

The options window is intuitive and makes it fast and easy to change any of the settings you'd like.
